Punta Bocana is owned and developed by Roberto Acosta and his wife Melida Solis. Mr. Acosta is a structural engineer by trade. After graduating from the University of Costa Rica in 1981, Mr. Acosta went to work for I.C.E., Costa Rica’s state sponsored monopoly of electricity and telecommunications, as a chief engineer and planner. Shortly thereafter Mr. Acosta went to work for the private sector by joining Grupo H. Solis, one of Costa Rica’s oldest and largest heavy construction companies. As a part of Grupo H.
